Rental Policy

Renter Requirements

All renters must be 18+ years of age with a valid driver’s license. Minors may participate when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. By booking, you confirm you have read and agree to all terms, policies, and our full rental waiver.


Weather & Cancellations

No refunds due to weather. In case of hazardous weather (lightning, severe storms), a weather raincheck valid for one year may be issued. Alcova Resort reserves the right to cancel, delay, or shorten rentals for safety concerns or operational reasons without reimbursement for unused time.


Rental Responsibilities

  • Inspect equipment at pickup and report any pre-existing damage.
  • Follow all Wyoming boating laws and Game & Fish regulations.
  • No impaired operation (alcohol/drugs), reckless, or unlawful use.
  • Life jackets required for children 12 and under.
  • Return on time and in clean condition.
  • Fuel: Motorized rentals provided with full tank. Renter is responsible for fuel used during rental. Upon return, we will refill the tank and charge the card on file for fuel costs.
  • Report defects or damage immediately and return to boathouse.


Late Returns & Recovery

Late return fee: $100 per 15 minutes. If Alcova Resort must recover the rental: $200 fee.


Pet Policy

No pets on MasterCraft rentals. $50 fee per rental for pets on other boats (maximum 2 pets). Renter liable for all pet-caused damage at shop rates.


Fishing Policy

Fishing allowed on all boats except MasterCraft models.


Cleanliness Policy

Rentals must be returned clean and in the same condition as received. Excessive sand, trash, or stains: $125/hour cleaning fee (1-hour minimum). MasterCraft: $250/hour (1-hour minimum).


Damage & Repair Costs

Renter is solely responsible for all damage, loss, theft, or sinking during rental period, regardless of cause. Damage billed at shop rate of $165/hour plus parts ($165/hour for MasterCraft).

Common damage rates:

  • Tipped Jet Ski: $1,000
  • Rocks in Jet Ski impeller: $1,000
  • Standard prop: $300
  • MasterCraft prop: $1,000

Estimated costs charged immediately; overpayments refunded after final assessment. Renter also pays daily rental rate for each day equipment is unavailable due to damage.


Jet Ski Specific Rules

  • Wear PFD at all times
  • No operation in water less than 3 feet deep
  • No beaching or intentional tipping
  • Violations void all protections; renter liable for resulting damage


Liability & Risk

Renter assumes all inherent risks of water activities and releases Alcova Resort, LLC from liability as outlined in our full rental agreement and waiver. Renter must have adequate insurance or financial means to cover potential injury, damage, or loss. Credit card on file may be charged for all damages, fees, fuel, cleaning, and late charges.


Legal

This agreement is governed by Wyoming law. Disputes resolved exclusively in Seventh Judicial District, Natrona County, Wyoming. Prevailing party in any dispute entitled to attorney fees and costs.


Cancellation Policy

  • More than 30 days before: Full refund.
  • Within 30 days: 50% refund.
  • Within 48 hours: Non-refundable.


Reschedule Policy

  • More than 7 days before: Free (once per booking).
  • Within 7 days: $100 fee.
  • Within 48 hours: Not available.

 

Note: Rescheduled bookings are no longer eligible for refund.
